UPDATE for 23 November '07

Here's your latest Cigarette Smokers' Savings and News Update. It's our intention to help you keep more of your money and to break through the intense smokescreen of propaganda and misinformation about smoking and smokers.

In a hurry? Take a look at these updated Web Pages:

Please visit our smokers' site for more information:
http://www.nativeblend.net

And please visit our SSO site via this for savings:
http://www.nativeblend.net/SSO.htm

And, while we're at it, please send a link to this page to your smoking friends.

Okay! Here's some of what we cover this time:

  • Quitting Can be Dangerous
  • BAD States for Tax Attacks
  • BAD Companies for Tax Reporting
  • Marlboro Smoker? Save $15 - or more - per carton

- Quitting Can be Dangerous -

Did you know that United Nations statistics have listed Japan and South Korea respectively as first and second in both life expectancy and tobacco consumption? If smoking were really as dreadful, harmful, and dangerous as the Anti-Smoking propaganda blitz claims it to be . . . how can this be true?!

Another item:
According to three medical doctors writing in the journal Medical Hypotheses, giving up smoking can kill you. The doctors were "struck by the more than casual relationship between the appearance of lung cancer and an abrupt and recent cessation of the smoking."
In 182 of the 312 cases they treated, habitual smokers of at least a pack a day for at least a quarter-century developed lung cancer shortly after they gave up smoking.

Fewer Cigarettes Equals MORE Cancer?
U.S. historical statistics show that, in the period 1973-1994, annual per capita consumption of cigarettes FELL from 4,148 to 2,493. But in the same period, the incidence of lung and bronchial cancer ROSE from 42.5 to 57.1 cases per 100,000 population. How can this be if the propaganda of the Anti-Tobacco Pharmaceutical Cartel is correct?

And everyone knows about these:
Other medical literature has documented other risks of non-smoking that include neurotic depression, violent irritability, intense nervousness, an inability to relax, and large weight gains. How healthy are those changes?

For more about some of the stuff above, see the article in the Ottawa Citizen.

The deluge of anti-smoking hysteria is actually a very recent thing. And it's quite sudden too. Look at a film from only 10 or 15 years ago and you'll see everyone smoking away merrily and without a worry. Why they're smoking in the elevator or in the office and, of course, in every decent bar!

How can it be that we've been so suddenly immersed in this tidal wave of warnings and fear and - let's be clear - propaganda? Doesn't it seem a bit too orchestrated?

Well it has been orchestrated. To find out more, light up your favorite smoke, relax (a very healthy practice), and then take a look, being sure to follow the several links:

We're always adding smokers' resources to our site, so it deserves regular visits:

- BAD States for Tax Attacks -

We're always reporting about Surprise Cigarettes Tax Bills that people receive. The fact is that some states are worse than others. Here are SOME of the worst states for aggressive anti-smoker tax billing:

  • California
  • Washington
  • Michigan
  • Pennsylvania
  • New Jersey
  • New York

Those are among the worst today. That does NOT mean that others might not be bad too. These are just the ones that I am personally aware of from news and correspondents.

It's also extremely important to note that ALL the states are very Tax Hungry. And that means that ANY state can initiate an aggressive Cigarettes Tax Collecting Campaign at any time! EVERY smoker or tobacco user should only purchase online from a genuinely safe source. The only such source today is SSO:
http://www.nativeblend.net/SSO.htm

- BAD Companies for Tax Reporting -

I've been warning my friends about ORDERSMOKESDIRECT for the last couple of years, ever since they changed their policy - very quietly and slyly - and started reporting all sales to their customers' state tax authorities. A LOT of smokers have been clobbered with tax bills thanks to OSD. Stay away!

Bad Company Warnings:

  • OrderSmokesDirect
  • Duty Free Depot
  • Free Tax Depot

Duty Free Depot recently ran into troubles and was suddenly reincarnated as something called Free Tax Depot - rather suspicious slight-of-hand, and a bad sign for customers. They are currently bombarding people with flashy email ads.

DFD/FTD has had cigarettes seized at the borders. Their customers have had demands to pay duty on their orders from the US Customs Department. And, as if that were not enough, a number of people report having been ripped off for substantial amounts of money by them. DFD and FTD both richly deserve to go on our DON'T BUY FROM LIST.

If you have had tax demands as a result of purchases from an online company, or if you have been otherwise ripped off, please let me know about it, and do include details. If we work together, we will be able to spare a lot of people a lot of trouble.

Marlboro Smokers:
Save $15 - or more - per carton

If you are smoking a "Premium" Brand, you can save a ton by switching to a smoke in SSO's Value Brand Category or Discount Brands Category. Just go to the SSO's Tobacco Mall and explore "Discount Brands" or "Value Brands."

Marlboro smokers will normally save quite nicely by getting their smokes from SSO, paying a bit over $30 per carton, delivered. That's a USA Made, Domestic Quality Marlboro, not something that's been brewed up in Russia or the Ukraine! It's a better price than just about any other online source for that kind of Marlboro, and it's way cheaper than local stores for most smokers.

BUT, that same Marlboro smoker could be paying as little as $15.38 for a very satisfying NATIVE, or even just $14.88 per carton - delivered - for a YUKON.

The Native brand is pretty well known by many of us, but what about the Yukon? Well you can find out about them, and lots of other options on my Comparisons Page (http://www.nativeblend.net/comparisons.htm), but I'll reproduce the interesting Yukon review here for your consideration.

Yukon Cigarettes - $14.88 DELIVERED
Look in SSO's Value Brand Category in the Tobacco Mall

Yukon FF Box -
The Tobacco Holdings company, based in Miami, Florida, has authorized the manufacture of the Yukon brand in Uruguay. (Among other brands it distributes is the Calon brand.) The Yukon full flavor king is 3 1/4 inches (83 mm) in length, with a white 3/4 inch (20 mm) filter. The tobacco mix in the cigarette appears to be a fairly standard combination of light, medium and dark leaf, cut in slightly more coarse ribbons and flakes than we usually see. We were able to compress the tobacco about 1/16 of an inch by tamping it, and we found no foreign material in the tube we dissected. The draw is easy; the cigarette burns pretty quickly. We found the tobacco flavor to be about right for an "American blend" of tobacco, with no unpleasant harshness or aftertaste. At the low price for these smokes, we would highly recommend any full flavor smoker to give it a try.

Sounds like a good idea to us, for an extra $90 per month in the pocket. And there are a bunch of other interesting options at SSO too. Check them out on my Comparisons page. And be sure you're safe from TAX Attacks: get cheap smokes safely from SSO:
